March 27, 2017 – William H. Gerstenmaier, an American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Honorary Fellow, and associate administrator for the human exploration and operations mission directorate at NASA, has won the 2017 AIAA Goddard Astronautics Award. Gerstenmaier will receive the award at the AIAA Aerospace Spotlight Awards Gala, May 3, at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C
