Welcome to the AIAA Iowa Section!

The Iowa Section provides local support to the national AIAA organization in its mission to advance the state of aerospace science, engineering and technological leadership in the state of Iowa and the surrounding region. Some of our key activities include:

    • Providing timely speakers, workshops and programs in the local area to help our members remain current with emerging technology trends.
    • Working with companies, communities and academia to expand engineering and technology awareness and activity in the Iowa region.
    • Promoting engineering and science as potential career fields to secondary school students.
    • Provide engineering students with assistance and contacts as they transition into the workplace.
    • Providing networking environment within our membership to assist in continuing career management.

Our section meets approximately once a quarter, with meetings alternating in location between sites of major commercial or academic engineering and technology activities. Our officers meet monthly to plan the various activities.
This page supports our mission by providing a conduit for timely communication and planning between our members. Feedback on the information or presentation from this website is welcome.
