2014 AIAA distinguished lecture by NASA Astronaut Dr. Jeanette Epps 



A native of Syracuse, New York, Jeanette Epps obtained her Masters and Doctoral degrees in Aerospace Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park. Upon graduation in 2000 she worked at the Ford Motor Company as a Technical Specialist in the Scientific Research Laboratory. A couple of years later (2002), Dr. Epps joined the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and spent more than 7 years working as a Technical Intelligence Officer. In July 2009 she was selected as one of fourteen members of the 20th NASA astronaut class. She recently graduated from Astronaut Training and is scheduled to travel to the International Space Station later this year for a stay extending several months.

Join your fellow aerospace enthusiasts for a reception and dinner offering excellent networking opportunities as well as the opportunity to hear Dr. Epps share details about NASA’s Astronaut Training Program as well as the future of Human Space Exploration after the Space Shuttle.

Special dietary restrictions accommodated with advance requests.
