Responsible for the Section's interface on policies and procedures relating to all matters concerned with the career relations and development of members.

Responsible for maintaining the website and publishing the Section newsletter. Also maintaining current email distribution lists of members.

Develops and recommends policies and procedures relating to education matters. The National committee includes the chairs of the Academic Affairs, Student Activities, Precollege Outreach and the Professional Member Education Committees.
Yunjun Xu

This committee identifies those practitioners in the arts and sciences who have made notable and significant contributions, and honors them in public ceremonies. Responsible for coordinating the annual awards banquet with the Programs Chair, requesting/applying for awards from National, and obtaining plaques/trophies.
Randy Allen

Develops and recommends policies and procedures concerned with membership grade and applications, membership development, membership retention, and member dues. This committee was instrumental in establishing the Sustained Service Award on the National level.
Aaron Blevins

Provides quality educational resources for the Section’s kindergarten through 12th grade educators in the areas of science, mathematics, and technology. The National committee has established a partnership with the NASA Connect program, a series of 30-minute instructional programs delivered via television and the Internet. This committee also administers the Foundation Classroom Grant Program, Foundation Educator Achievement Program and the Educator Associate Program.

Responsible for organizing events, including dinner meeting logistics (speaker, location, etc).
Gino Bonfanti

Develops and recommends policies and procedures relating to matters concerned with the US government relations and actively identifies and pursues opportunities for Institute’s contributions of information to the policy-making processes. The National committee oversees the congressional visit day activities.
Amanda DePreta

Interface for the National Technical Activities Committee (TAC) that oversees all of the technical activities of AIAA, particularly conferences, exhibits, and technical papers. It also works in concert with other Standing Committees for input on public policy, journals and books standards, continuing education courses, and articles for Aerospace America. It is also the parent organization of the 68 Technical Committees (TCs) within AIAA. TAC verifies that all such activities are appropriate to and in the best interests of the AIAA membership and suggests new initiatives in the same vein.

Responsible for promoting the interest of engineering professionals within the aerospace industry who are transitioning from student members to working professionals. The committee serves all professionals, age 35 and under whom are working in the Academic, Government or Industry segments of the aerospace field.
Jose Castillo

As the largest employer of aerospace professionals in our area, Lockheed Martin is often a major underwriter for and participant in section events. This position assists the council with logistical details regarding use of LM facilities, coordination of LM announcements and participation, and so on.
