This part of the site is to provide information on upcoming conferences and TC-related sessions being sponsored at the conferences. Topics and contact information can be found in each conference's section.

The SAT TC typically attends: 1) the Aerospace Sciences Meeting in January, and 2) the SPACE 20XX Conference & Exposition in August-September.

 

 SPACE 2013 Conference & Exposition

10 - 12 September 2013
San DIego Convention Center and Hilton San Diego Bayfront, San Diego, CA

Conference Information

TC Lead: Soumyo Dutta

The session tracks and areas of interest for our TC and the other TCs in our track (Legal Aspects of Aeronautics & Astronautics TC and History TC) are in the SPACE 2013 Call for Papers..

The track will also have a Space History, Society, and Policy Student Paper Competition in which the winner will receive a $750 monetary prize along with a certificate and recognition at a luncheon.

 

 SciTech 2014

  • Discussion of Aerospace Topics and Programs from the Perpsective of Disciplines such as Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, and Political Science

 AVIATION 2014 Forum & Exposition

16 - 20 June 2014

Conference Information

TC Lead: Chi Mai

The session tracks and areas of interest for our TC are still being worked out, but they will revolve around issues and impacts of UAS (Uninhabited Aerial Systems) and Society. If you're interested in helping with forming topic areas for our TC at this forum, contact the TC lead.

We are expecting to contribute to the 14th AIAA Aviation Technology, Integration, and Operations Conference component of the forum. We are also expecting to collaborate with the Intelligent Systems TC on joint sessions.

Planning telecons will begin soon.
